Pillar is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Thousand Foot Krutch, 10 Years, Disciple, Red and Collective Soul. Those roots explain a lot about how Pillar arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Disciple, Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch, Red and Spoken, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Superchic[k], Sanctus Real, Spoken, Stars Go Dim and Brantley Gilbert, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 38 connections around Pillar, reaching back through Thousand Foot Krutch and forward to Superchic[k]. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
