Tchami is a Deep house act. Their sound grew out of DJ Snake, Kashif, Todd Edwards and KRS-One. Those roots explain a lot about how Tchami arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Oliver Heldens, AC Slater, Chocolate Puma, Jauz and Don Diablo, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Lil Jon, Don Diablo, DJ Snake and Oliver Heldens, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Tchami, reaching back through DJ Snake and forward to Lil Jon.
