Kashif

Kashif is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Exposé, Stevie Wonder and George Benson. Those roots explain a lot about how Kashif arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Loose Ends, Sharon Redd, Change, B.B. & Q. Band and Skyy, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Meli'sa Morgan, Jermaine Jackson, The Stylistics, Melba Moore and George Benson, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 41 connections around Kashif, reaching back through Exposé and forward to Meli'sa Morgan. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
