Tha Dogg Pound

Hip hop
Hip hop

Tha Dogg Pound is a Hip hop act. Their sound grew out of Prince Ital Joe, Danny Boy, Capone-N-Noreaga, Jane Handcock and Devin the Dude. Those roots explain a lot about how Tha Dogg Pound arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mack 10, Snoop Dogg, Twinz, Warren G and Tha Eastsidaz, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Puff Daddy, Capone-N-Noreaga, Mobb Deep, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 43 connections around Tha Dogg Pound, reaching back through Prince Ital Joe and forward to Puff Daddy. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
