The Interrupters is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Tim Armstrong, Joey Valence & Brae and Flogging Molly. Those roots explain a lot about how The Interrupters arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mad Caddies, Less Than Jake, The Suicide Machines, Goldfinger and Catch 22, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Sugar Ray and Reel Big Fish, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 23 connections around The Interrupters, reaching back through Tim Armstrong and forward to Sugar Ray. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
