The Pietasters

The Pietasters is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Joe Strummer, Suburban Legends, Bad Manners, No Doubt and The Skatalites. Those roots explain a lot about how The Pietasters arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Hepcat, The Aggrolites, Westbound Train, Mad Caddies and Catch 22, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Bouncing Souls, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 32 connections around The Pietasters, reaching back through Joe Strummer and forward to The Bouncing Souls. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
