The Wreckers

Country
Country

The Wreckers is a Country act. Their sound grew out of Maddie & Tae, Tyler Hilton, Bethany Joy Lenz and Patty Griffin. Those roots explain a lot about how The Wreckers arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Michelle Branch, Lee Ann Womack, The Chicks, LeAnn Rimes and Thompson Square, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Michelle Branch, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 25 connections around The Wreckers, reaching back through Maddie & Tae and forward to Michelle Branch. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
