Zion Train is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Ravi Shankar, Jah Shaka, King Tubby, Jimi Hendrix and H.R.. Those roots explain a lot about how Zion Train arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Dub Syndicate, Vibronics, Sly & Robbie, King Tubby and Dubmatix, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Vibronics, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 20 connections around Zion Train, reaching back through Ravi Shankar and forward to Vibronics.
