Creation Rebel

Creation Rebel is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Junior Byles, Gaudi, Dennis Bovell and Bim Sherman. Those roots explain a lot about how Creation Rebel arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Keith Hudson, Dub Syndicate, Lee "Scratch" Perry & The Upsetters, Prince Jammy and Scientist, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Dub Syndicate and Mikey Dread, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 27 connections around Creation Rebel, reaching back through Junior Byles and forward to Dub Syndicate. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
