Young also came in fifth place in World Idol performing the single "Light My Fire" written by the band the Doors.

Scouting for Girls are an English pop rock band. Their name is a play on the title of the 1908 Scouting handbook Scouting for Boys. The band was formed in 2005 by three childhood friends from London, Roy Stride on vocals, piano and guitar, Greg Churchouse on bass guitar and James Rowlands on drums. They signed to Epic Records in 2007 and released their self-titled debut album that September and it reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart in 2008. To date, it has sold over one million copies in the UK. Over their career, Scouting for Girls have had eight top 40 singles, sold over four million records in the UK and received over one billion global streams. They have been nominated for four Brit Awards, in 2009 and 2011, and one Ivor Novello Award in 2011.

With 200,000 albums sold worldwide this is her most successful album, 50,000 albums were sold in France, 40,000 in Sweden. "Release Me" topped the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs and peaked at three in the United Kingdom, selling over 4 million copies worldwide.

Alphabeat are a Danish pop band from Silkeborg, fronted by singers Stine Bramsen and Anders Stig Gehrt Nielsen. Their single "Fascination" was a major hit in Denmark during the summer of 2006, as well as the United Kingdom in 2008. Their 2007 eponymous debut album reached number two in Denmark and was certified Platinum. Following its wide release in Europe in 2008, retitled This Is Alphabeat, it reached number ten in the UK and was certified Gold in the region. The album also contains their first number one hit in Denmark, "10.000 Nights of Thunder".
