Priestess was a Canadian hard rock/stoner rock band formed by singer/guitarist Mikey Heppner in Montreal, Quebec in 2002, comprising Heppner, singer/guitarist Dan Watchorn, singer/drummer Vince Nudo, and bassist Mike Dyball. Priestess were considered one of the most important bands in the early millennial "retro rock" movement, although they denied intentionally attempting to emulate the sounds of classic rock bands such as Black Sabbath and AC/DC, whom they idolized and to whom they were frequently compared.

In July 2016, Garcia announced that the band is over and he is concentrating on his solo project. In January 2026, the band reunited, teasing new original music and old projects.

Heavily influenced by the similar semi-fictional metal act Spinal Tap and self-styled as "a banda da galera", Massacration is a light-hearted parody of heavy metal subculture and "metalhead/headbanger" stereotypes, lampooning the music and aesthetics of such famous metal bands as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Manowar, Sepultura, Angra, among others. The band's music features humorous lyrics written in a combination of intentionally broken English and Portuguese, sung in an exaggerated falsetto by Sutter.

Crush 40 is a hard rock band consisting of Japanese guitarist and composer Jun Senoue and American vocalist Johnny Gioeli. The band produced most soundtracks for the Sonic the Hedgehog series in the 2000s.

Airbourne are an Australian hard rock band formed in Warrnambool, Victoria, in late 2001. Founding members are Joel O'Keeffe, younger brother Ryan O'Keeffe (drums), and David Roads. They were joined by Justin Street in mid-2004. Roads amicably left in 2017, Mathew Harrison joined in 2018 and was replaced by Jarrad Morrice in mid-2022, who was replaced in turn by Brett Tyrrell in mid-2023.

Black Stone Cherry is an American hard rock band formed in Edmonton, Kentucky in 2001. They were signed to Roadrunner Records until 2015; the band is now signed to Mascot Label Group. The band consists of Chris Robertson, Ben Wells (guitar), Steve Jewell (bass) and John Fred Young (drums). Black Stone Cherry has released eight studio albums as well as two EPs and have charted seventeen singles on the US Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. Their latest album, Screamin' at the Sky, was released in 2023.
