Andrew Robert Nielsen, known professionally as MC Lars, is an American rapper, producer, educator, and founder of Horris Records. A graduate of Stanford University and the University of Oxford, he has been described as a pioneer of "lit-hop", a genre blending hip-hop with themes from classical and American literature. In a 2003 song, he used the term "iGeneration", which ASCAP credited as an early instance of the term. He has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall and multiple TEDx events. His work frequently references authors like William Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, and Herman Melville, and he is considered a key figure in the early nerdcore movement.

Sol Alexander Rosenberg, better known as Sol or Solzilla, is an American hip hop artist. In 2012, he released his second studio album Yours Truly, which received critical acclaim and rose to number one on the iTunes U.S. Hip-Hop Albums Chart while also charting on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart. Sol has collaborated with other artists such as Macklemore, Blue Scholars, Grynch, and The Physics.

Royal Blood are an English rock duo formed in Worthing in 2011. The lineup consists of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher (drums). Their signature sound is built around Kerr's bass playing style, which sees him using various effects pedals and amps to make his bass guitar sound like an electric guitar and bass guitar at the same time. The duo were signed by Warner Chappell Music in 2013 and have since released four studio albums: Royal Blood (2014), How Did We Get So Dark? (2017), Typhoons (2021), and Back to the Water Below (2023).

"Brain Stew" and "Jaded" are two songs by American rock band Green Day, released as a joint single. The songs are transitional—"Brain Stew" segues directly into "Jaded". They appear as the 10th and 11th tracks on the group's fourth studio album, Insomniac, and were released as the album's third and final single in April 1996. One of the B-sides has an early version of the song "Good Riddance ", with the song having a more sarcastic tone than the original. There is also a limited-edition CD single of the two songs in which the disc is in the shape of a brain.
