Alexis Puentes, better known by his stage name Alex Cuba, is a Cuban-Canadian singer-songwriter who sings in Spanish and English. He has won three Juno Awards in his career, with two wins for World Music Album of the Year in 2006 for Humo de Tabaco, and in 2008 for his second album, Agua del Pozo, and one win for Latin Music Recording of the Year in 2026 for Índole.

Morgan Wolf Page is an American DJ and music producer. His tracks include "The Longest Road", "Fight for You" and "In the Air". Page has received two Grammy Award nominations; a personal nomination for best remix with Nadia Ali and in 2009 his song was nominated for best remix; "The Longest Road". Page is signed to Armada Music worldwide.

Ché Wolton Grant, known professionally as AJ Tracey, is a British rapper and record producer from Ladbroke Grove, London. Tracey rose to popularity in 2016 and was listed by The Guardian in a list of "best new acts to catch at festivals in 2016".

Raymond "Rea" Michael Garvey is an Irish singer, songwriter and guitarist based in Germany. In 1998, he formed the band Reamonn. Over the 11 years that Garvey was their frontman, they saw chart-topping success in Europe, with a number of gold and platinum selling albums, Tuesday, Dream No. 7, Beautiful Sky, Wish and Eleven and several sold out European tours. In 2010, after the release of the band's best-of album/DVD Eleven, and a best-of tour, the band parted ways. Garvey took this time to pursue a solo career, which gave birth to his first solo album Can't Stand the Silence in 2011. This album saw Garvey's transition from anthem rock with Reamonn, to alternative electro-pop.

"4 Minutes" is a song by American singer Madonna from her eleventh studio album Hard Candy (2008), featuring vocals by American musicians Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. It was released as the lead single from the album on March 17, 2008, by Warner Bros. Records. It marked the first time in Madonna's 25-year career that another artist was featured in a single. According to Madonna, the song is about saving the environment and "having a good time while we are doing it". She also cited the song as the inspiration for the documentary I Am Because We Are (2008).

"Hips Don't Lie" is a song by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira, featuring Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean, released by Epic Records on 28 February 2006. The single is a reworking of Jean's 2004 track "Dance Like This", therefore it features additional composing credits by Omar Alfanno, Jerry Duplessis, Luis Días, and LaTavia Parker. The song was released as the lead single from the reissue of Shakira's seventh studio album, Oral Fixation, Vol. 2, and second overall. Shakira and Jean wrote the lyrics and jointly composed the music with additional co-writing by Shakira's percussionist Archie Pena. The song was produced by Shakira and Jean with additional production by Jerry Duplessis. The song incorporates samples from "Amores Como el Nuestro" written by Alfanno, and "Carnaval " written by Días.

"Wavin' Flag" is a song by Somali-Canadian artist K'naan from his album Troubadour (2009). The song was originally written for Somalia and aspirations of its people for freedom. The original single was a hit in Canada and reached number two on the Canadian Hot 100 as the second official single from the album, after the single "ABCs", a minor hit. After an earthquake in Haiti in 2010, a remake of the song by an ad hoc supergroup of Canadian artists, credited as Young Artists for Haiti, became a charity single in Canada, reaching number one on the Canadian Hot 100 in its own right.

The Sweet Escape is the second solo studio album by American singer Gwen Stefani, released on December 1, 2006, by Interscope Records. Having originally intended to return to No Doubt after her debut solo album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. (2004), Stefani decided to record a second album as a way to release some of the material left over from the Love. Angel. Music. Baby. writing sessions. The album musically resembles its predecessor while exploring more modern pop sounds. It was released to generally mixed reviews from contemporary music critics, receiving criticism for its strong similarities to Love. Angel. Music. Baby.

"The Way I Are" is a song by American record producer and rapper Timbaland, released by Mosley Music Group, Blackground Records and Interscope Records on June 12, 2007 as the second single from his second studio album, Shock Value (2007). Three versions of the song exist: all of which feature vocals from American singer-songwriter Keri Hilson. The radio version is a duet between her and Timbaland, and is included on international editions on her debut album In a Perfect World... (2009); the album version features both Hilson and Mosely Music Group-signed rapper D.O.E., while the music video version features Hilson, D.O.E., and Sebastian, Timbaland's brother. The aforementioned artists co-wrote the song with Danja, the Clutch, and Candice Nelson, with Timbaland producing and Danja co-producing. "The Way I Are" is an electrohop song with influences of R&B and dance music that help create its futuristic sound; its lyrics are based on the theme of role reversal and sensuous desires.
