They run in the same orbit as La Santa Cecilia, Sin Bandera, Franco de Vita, Jorge Drexler and Jesse & Joy, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ron Sexsmith, Nelly Furtado and Corinne Bailey Rae, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 39 connections around Alex Cuba, reaching back through Raul Midón and forward to Ron Sexsmith.
