Mutemath is an American alternative rock project founded by singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer Paul Meany. Originally co-founded as a band with Darren King in 2002, Meany decided to continue Mutemath as a solo project following King's departure in 2017. Mutemath draws heavily from influences in 1960s and 1970s soul, psychedelic rock, and jam band styles, utilizing vintage guitars and amplifiers as well as Rhodes keyboards, synthesizers, and other electronic instruments such as the keytar.

Kadhja Bonet is an American singer and songwriter. In 2014, she released her debut single, "Tears for Lamont". Later that year, she self-released her debut EP, The Visitor EP (2015), and in 2016 she re-released it as an album under Fat Possum Records and Fresh Selects, which received critical appraisal. Her second album, Childqueen (2018), charted in US Billboard's Independent Albums and Heatseekers Albums. The same year, she released her second EP, Childqueen Outtakes (2018). Her third EP, California Holiday (2022), was released. She also collaborated with many musicians.

Yoann Lemoine, known professionally as Woodkid, is a French music video director, graphic designer, composer, and singer-songwriter. He first gained international recognition as a music video director before launching his recording career with the EP Iron (2011) and the studio album The Golden Age (2013). He has also composed for films, television, video games and international events, including Desierto, Arcane, the Paris 2024 handover sequence at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic closing ceremony, and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

Moses Sumney is an American singer-songwriter and actor. His self-recorded EP, Mid-City Island, was released in 2014. He released another five-song EP in 2016, titled Lamentations. His first full-length album, Aromanticism, was released in September 2017. His second studio album, Græ, was released in 2020. Sumney has performed as an opening act for James Blake, Solange Knowles, and Sufjan Stevens. In 2023, he was featured on The Weeknd's HBO TV series The Idol.
