After Forever

After Forever is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Within Temptation, Black Sabbath, The Gathering, Gorefest and Ayreon. Those roots explain a lot about how After Forever arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as ReVamp, Epica, Sirenia, Leaves' Eyes and Xandria, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Epica, Nightwish and ReVamp, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around After Forever, reaching back through Within Temptation and forward to Epica. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
