Ateez is a Dance-pop and Hip hop act. Their sound grew out of Famous Dex, Turbo, Rain, Psy and Pentatonix. Those roots explain a lot about how Ateez arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as xikers, ONEUS, Stray Kids, MONSTA X and CIX, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into i-dle, Stray Kids, HUNTR/X, Saja Boys and xikers, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 33 connections around Ateez, reaching back through Famous Dex and forward to i-dle.
