Rain is a Contemporary R&B and Pop act. Their sound grew out of Gray Matter, Kang Daniel, Trio, Untouchables and K.Will. Those roots explain a lot about how Rain arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as 2PM, SE7EN, TEEN TOP, Block B and MBLAQ, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ravi, MBLAQ, Oasis, CLC and Momo, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 39 connections around Rain, reaching back through Gray Matter and forward to Ravi.
