B-Real is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of C-Kan, Aftermath Entertainment, Everlast, Coolio and Mick Jenkins. Those roots explain a lot about how B-Real arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Snowgoons, La Coka Nostra, Cypress Hill, The Psycho Realm and Method Man, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Nas, The Alchemist, Snoop Dogg, Hollywood Undead and Chuck D, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 43 connections around B-Real, reaching back through C-Kan and forward to Nas.
