Daedelus

Daedelus is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Samiyam, Prefuse 73, Abstract Rude, Mux Mool and Busdriver. Those roots explain a lot about how Daedelus arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Teebs, Flying Lotus, Wagon Christ, Dorian Concept and Luke Vibert, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Flying Lotus, Busdriver and Take, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 30 connections around Daedelus, reaching back through Samiyam and forward to Flying Lotus. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
