G-DRAGON is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Jun.K, Dok2, Psy, Jennie and Baauer. Those roots explain a lot about how G-DRAGON arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as BigBang, GD&TOP, Daesung, GD X TAEYANG and T.O.P, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Josh, Pablo, Winner, Jack Ü and Baby Monster, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 42 connections around G-DRAGON, reaching back through Jun.K and forward to Josh. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
