Earth Crisis is a Hardcore punk act. Their sound grew out of Caliban, Snapcase, The Age of Quarrel, Damnation A.D. and Steel Pulse. Those roots explain a lot about how Earth Crisis arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Strife, Integrity, Snapcase, Unbroken and 100 Demons, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Nothingface, Darkest Hour, Between the Buried and Me, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Nonpoint, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 46 connections around Earth Crisis, reaching back through Caliban and forward to Nothingface.
