Electric Six

Electric Six is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Wild Bunch, The White Stripes, Jack White, Queen and Freddie Mercury. Those roots explain a lot about how Electric Six arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Eagles of Death Metal, Bloodhound Gang, The Presidents of the United States of America, Jet and Ash, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Brendan Benson and Flogging Molly, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 44 connections around Electric Six, reaching back through The Wild Bunch and forward to Brendan Benson. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
