Gliss is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Beach House, The Kills, Dum Dum Girls and Joy Division. Those roots explain a lot about how Gliss arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Raveonettes, Film School, Curve, 2:54 and Autolux, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Bravery, Deftones and Panic! at the Disco, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 38 connections around Gliss, reaching back through Beach House and forward to The Bravery. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
