Innerpartysystem is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Pete Wentz. Those roots explain a lot about how Innerpartysystem arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Shiny Toy Guns, Blue Stahli, Vast, Junkie XL and Battle Tapes, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ladyhawke, Katy Perry, Kill Hannah, Mindless Self Indulgence and Linkin Park, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 25 connections around Innerpartysystem, reaching back through Pete Wentz and forward to Ladyhawke. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
