Linkin Park is a Alternative rock and Electropop act. Their catalogue also touches Hip hop, Pop and Rap. Their sound grew out of Nine Inch Nails, The Offspring, Beastie Boys, Aphex Twin and Faith No More. Those roots explain a lot about how Linkin Park arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mike Shinoda, Jay-Z and Linkin Park, Grey Daze, Three Days Grace and Korn, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Kiiara, Higher Power, Abandon All Ships, Lil Lotus and Split Chain, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 144 connections around Linkin Park, reaching back through Nine Inch Nails and forward to Kiiara. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
