Intro is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Dru Hill, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Myers and Bobby Caldwell. Those roots explain a lot about how Intro arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as H-Town, Mint Condition, Donell Jones, Kut Klose and Al B. Sure!, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Father MC, Mary J. Blige, Soul for Real, Men of Vizion and Christopher Williams, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 41 connections around Intro, reaching back through Dru Hill and forward to Father MC. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
