Julio Iglesias is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Baccara, Alejandro Fernández, Willie Nelson, Diana Ross and The Hollies. Those roots explain a lot about how Julio Iglesias arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as José Luis Perales, Emmanuel, Luis Miguel, José José and Cristian Castro, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Axel, Daniel Santacruz, Myriam Hernández, Julio Iglesias Jr. and Coki Ramírez, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 76 connections around Julio Iglesias, reaching back through Baccara and forward to Axel. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
