Koldbrann is a Black metal act. Their sound grew out of Korroziya Metalla, Darkthrone, Dødheimsgard and Gorgoroth. Those roots explain a lot about how Koldbrann arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Trelldom, Thorns, Mork, Gehenna and Gorgoroth, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ondskapt, Shining, Kvelertak, Urgehal and Endstille, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Koldbrann, reaching back through Korroziya Metalla and forward to Ondskapt.
