Luz Casal

Alternative rock
Alternative rockBluesLatin pop

Luz Casal is a Alternative rock and Blues act. Their catalogue also touches Latin pop. Their sound grew out of The Christians, Rosendo, Rui Veloso, Niño Josele and Quique González. Those roots explain a lot about how Luz Casal arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Amaral, Rocío Jurado, Los Secretos, Mecano and Duncan Dhu, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Flans and Niña Pastori, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 38 connections around Luz Casal, reaching back through The Christians and forward to Flans. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
