Mad Skillz

Mad Skillz is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Large Professor. Those roots explain a lot about how Mad Skillz arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Large Professor, Jeru the Damaja, O.G.C., Mood and Royal Flush, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into N.E.R.D., Q-Tip, Peanut Butter Wolf, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Timbaland, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 44 connections around Mad Skillz, reaching back through Large Professor and forward to N.E.R.D.. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
