Madcon

Hip hop
Hip hopReggaeSynth-pop

Madcon is a Hip hop and Reggae act. Their catalogue also touches Synth-pop. Their sound grew out of Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, Redrama, Tommy Tee, Lazee and The Four Seasons. Those roots explain a lot about how Madcon arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Flo Rida, Taio Cruz, will.i.am, Timbaland and Sean Paul, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Cro, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 35 connections around Madcon, reaching back through Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons and forward to Cro. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
