Metal Fingers is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Damon Albarn, Beth Gibbons, 3rd Bass, Thom Yorke and Kanye West. Those roots explain a lot about how Metal Fingers arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as KMD, Viktor Vaughn, MF DOOM & MF Grimm, NehruvianDOOM and Knxwledge, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Czarface, Bishop Nehru and Ghostface Killah, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 38 connections around Metal Fingers, reaching back through Damon Albarn and forward to Czarface. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
