Mount Eerie

Mount Eerie is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Mirah, Burzum / Aske, My Bloody Valentine, Julie Doiron and Perfume Genius. Those roots explain a lot about how Mount Eerie arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Giles Corey, Eric's Trip, Richard Dawson, Daniel Johnston and Songs: Ohia, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Julie Doiron, Neutral Milk Hotel, Angel Olsen, Mirah and Strange Ranger, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Mount Eerie, reaching back through Mirah and forward to Julie Doiron. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
