◇ image via WikipediaMyrkur
Myrkur is a Black metal act. Their sound grew out of Chelsea Wolfe and Mayhem. Those roots explain a lot about how Myrkur arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Saor, Heilung, Summoning, Blackbraid and Afsky, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The HU, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 27 connections around Myrkur, reaching back through Chelsea Wolfe and forward to The HU.
