Hip hop

NCT is a Hip hop act. Their sound grew out of Yoo Young-jin, Super Junior, Jaehyun, aespa and Cartoon. Those roots explain a lot about how NCT arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as SuperM, NCT DOJAEJUNG, Mark, TAEYONG and NCT U, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into RIIZE and SuperM, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 33 connections around NCT, reaching back through Yoo Young-jin and forward to RIIZE. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
