Peking Duk

Peking Duk is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Julia Stone, Icona Pop, Rubycon, Mallrat and Passion Pit. Those roots explain a lot about how Peking Duk arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Rubens, Safia, The Jungle Giants, Sneaky Sound System and Hayden James, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into LIZ, Steve Aoki, Iggy Azalea, Fitz and the Tantrums and What So Not, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 35 connections around Peking Duk, reaching back through Julia Stone and forward to LIZ. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
