Plastic Bertrand

Plastic Bertrand is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Magnus Uggla, Telex and Two Man Sound. Those roots explain a lot about how Plastic Bertrand arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Les Rita Mitsouko, Indochine, Generation X, The Boomtown Rats and Dexys Midnight Runners, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Daniel Balavoine, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and The BossHoss, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 25 connections around Plastic Bertrand, reaching back through Magnus Uggla and forward to Daniel Balavoine. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
