Sentenced

Sentenced is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of To/Die/For, Charon, Samael, Tiamat and Piece of Mind. Those roots explain a lot about how Sentenced arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Poisonblack, Diablo, Kotiteollisuus, Viikate and Mokoma, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Moonspell, Killswitch Engage, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames and Lacuna Coil, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 31 connections around Sentenced, reaching back through To/Die/For and forward to Moonspell. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
