Sunset Sons is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Queens of the Stone Age and Kanye West. Those roots explain a lot about how Sunset Sons arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Sundara Karma, The Sherlocks, Atlas Genius, Sea Girls and The Hunna, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Nothing but Thieves, Imagine Dragons, Wolf Alice, Babymetal and Caravan Palace, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 35 connections around Sunset Sons, reaching back through Queens of the Stone Age and forward to Nothing but Thieves. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
