Tantric is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Flaw, Saving Abel, Nappy Roots, Days of the New and Alice in Chains. Those roots explain a lot about how Tantric arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Days of the New, Trapt, Fuel, Pop Evil and Smile Empty Soul, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Shinedown, Trapt, Puddle of Mudd, Saving Abel and 3 Doors Down, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 47 connections around Tantric, reaching back through Flaw and forward to Shinedown. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
