The Aggrolites

Reggae
Reggae

The Aggrolites is a Reggae act. Their sound grew out of Scotty, Tim Armstrong, Prince Buster, Derrick Morgan and Phyllis Dillon. Those roots explain a lot about how The Aggrolites arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Pietasters, Hepcat, Westbound Train, Mad Caddies and The Heptones, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Aquabats, The Skints, Sever, Slightly Stoopid and Tim Armstrong, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around The Aggrolites, reaching back through Scotty and forward to The Aquabats. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
