The Untouchables

The Untouchables is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Jerry Dammers. Those roots explain a lot about how The Untouchables arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Teen Idles, Judge Dread, The Selecter, Derrick Morgan and ASC, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into No Doubt, Minor Threat and The Teen Idles, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 21 connections around The Untouchables, reaching back through Jerry Dammers and forward to No Doubt. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
