◇ image via WikipediaNo Doubt
No Doubt is a Alternative rock and Pop act. Their catalogue also touches Punk rock, Rap and Rock. Their sound grew out of It's My Life, Baauer, David A. Stewart, Brand New Eyes and Girls Like You. Those roots explain a lot about how No Doubt arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Garbage, Natalie Imbruglia, Veruca Salt, Michelle Branch and Letters to Cleo, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Bridgit Mendler, Smash Mouth, Leah Kate, The Selecter and Alex Webster, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 106 connections around No Doubt, reaching back through It's My Life and forward to Bridgit Mendler.
