Toad The Wet Sprocket

Toad The Wet Sprocket is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Rose Chronicles. Those roots explain a lot about how Toad The Wet Sprocket arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Gin Blossoms, Better Than Ezra, Tonic, Collective Soul and Hootie & The Blowfish, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Smash Mouth, Tonic, The Jayhawks, KT Tunstall and Sixpence None the Richer, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 35 connections around Toad The Wet Sprocket, reaching back through Rose Chronicles and forward to Smash Mouth.
