TVXQ is a Pop and Rhythm and blues act. Their sound grew out of K.Will, Lola Blanc, BoA, Britney Spears and Kumi Koda. Those roots explain a lot about how TVXQ arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as 2PM, Infinite, U-KISS, MBLAQ and F.T ISLAND, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Kumi Koda, EXO-K, EXO, Jisoo and Super Junior, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 41 connections around TVXQ, reaching back through K.Will and forward to Kumi Koda.
