Knud Grabow Christensen, better known by his stage name Sebastian, is a Danish singer, guitarist and songwriter.

Concrete Blonde was an American rock band from Hollywood, California. They were active from 1982 to 1994 and reunited twice: first from 2001 to 2004, then from 2010 to 2012. They were best known for their album Bloodletting (1990), its top-20 single "Joey", and Johnette Napolitano's distinctive vocal style.

No Angels are an all-female pop group formed in 2000 during the debut season of the German adaptation of the talent series Popstars. Originally a quintet, consisting of Nadja Benaissa, Lucy Diakovska, Sandy Mölling, Vanessa Petruo, and Jessica Wahls, the band quickly became one of the most commercially successful pop acts in German music history. Their debut single, "Daylight in Your Eyes" (2001), reached number one in several European countries and is among the best-selling singles in Germany. Their first album, Elle'ments (2001), likewise topped the charts and initiated a series of number-one releases, major tours, and industry awards.

Briolette Kah Bic Runga, recording as Bic Runga, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist pop artist. Her first three studio albums debuted at number one on the New Zealand Top 40 Album charts. Runga has also found success internationally in Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom with her 1997 song "Sway".

Nicholas Rodney Drake was an English musician. An accomplished acoustic guitarist, Drake signed to Island Records at the age of twenty while still a student at the University of Cambridge. His debut album, Five Leaves Left, was released in 1969, and was followed by two more albums, Bryter Layter (1971) and Pink Moon (1972). He did not reach a wide audience during his lifetime, but found acclaim and wider recognition following his death.

Deep Purple in Rock is the fourth studio album by English rock band Deep Purple, released on 5 June 1970. It was the first studio album recorded by the Mark II line-up of Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice.

John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band is the first solo album by English musician John Lennon after the break-up of the Beatles. Backed by the Plastic Ono Band, it was released by Apple Records on 11 December 1970 in tandem with the similarly titled album by his wife, Yoko Ono. At the time of its issue, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band received mixed reviews overall, but later came to be widely regarded as one of Lennon's best solo albums.

"Rocky Raccoon" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1968 double album The Beatles. It was primarily written by Paul McCartney, although credited to the Lennon–McCartney partnership, and sung by McCartney. McCartney began writing the song in Rishikesh, India, where the Beatles were studying Transcendental Meditation in the early months of 1968. John Lennon and Scottish singer-songwriter Donovan, who joined the Beatles on their retreat, also made contributions to the song. A cover version by Richie Havens reached number 76 in Canada in 1969.

Julee Ann Cruise was an American singer and actress, known for her collaborations with composer Angelo Badalamenti and filmmaker David Lynch in the late 1980s and early 1990s. She released four albums beginning with 1989's Floating into the Night.
