Norman Jeffrey Healey was a Canadian blues, rock and jazz guitarist, singer and songwriter who attained popularity in the 1980s and 1990s. He reached No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Angel Eyes" and reached the Top 10 in Canada with the songs "I Think I Love You Too Much" and "How Long Can a Man Be Strong".

David William Edmunds is a Welsh retired singer, songwriter, guitarist and record producer. He is mainly associated with pub rock and new wave, having produced hits in these genres during the 1970s and early 1980s.

Produced by Twain, Matthew Koma and Ron Aniello, it was released on June 15, 2017 as the lead single from her fifth studio album Now. As of October 2017, "Life's About to Get Good" has sold 36,485 copies in the United States. It was Twain's first single in five years. Twain performed the song on her Now Tour and Let's Go! residency.
