African Head Charge

African Head Charge is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Brian Eno and The Funkees. Those roots explain a lot about how African Head Charge arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Dub Syndicate, Creation Rebel, Scientist, King Tubby and Prince Jammy, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into American Head Charge and Dubblestandart, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 23 connections around African Head Charge, reaching back through Brian Eno and forward to American Head Charge. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
