Rap
Rap

Asking Alexandria is a Rap act. Their sound grew out of Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, Van Halen and Bullet for My Valentine. Those roots explain a lot about how Asking Alexandria arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Attack Attack!, Escape the Fate, Motionless in White, I See Stars and The Word Alive, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into We Are Harlot, Sebastian Bach, BT, Hollywood Undead and Bury Tomorrow, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 42 connections around Asking Alexandria, reaching back through Mötley Crüe and forward to We Are Harlot. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
